Who Am I — The Woman Behind Your Coffee Nook
Meet the person behind the support — my story, professional and academic background, and why I do what I do.
See why ND business owners and archaeology and heritage professionals trust me to bring clarity and calm to their chaos.
Hi, I’m Nat,
the person behind Nat’s Coffee Nook.

I help people keep important work moving when the practical details start to pile up. Sometimes that means helping a business owner stay on top of communication, content, or the day-to-day running of their business. Other times it means supporting someone in archaeology or heritage with the coordination, documentation, and organisation that sits around their projects.
The common thread is simple, though: when the background work is handled well, people have the space to focus on the work that truly matters.
Before starting my own business, I spent more than 13 years working in client support and content roles for companies ranging from fast-moving EdTech startups to large international tech firms. It was valuable experience, but over time something became clear to me: inside large organisations, the work often feels far removed from the people it is meant to help.
I wanted my work to have a more direct impact. I wanted to support real people doing meaningful work, and to know that the help I was providing genuinely made their day easier.
That realisation is what led me to start Nat’s Coffee Nook.
On the business side of my work, I support neurodivergent business owners.
I have ADHD and ASD myself, so I understand first-hand how quickly the practical side of running a business can become overwhelming. Not because people lack ideas or motivation, but because the constant flow of tasks, communication, and decisions can easily take over the day.
Because of that, the way I work is intentionally straightforward. Clear communication. Predictable structure. Practical help with the things that tend to drain time and attention. The aim is not to force anyone into rigid productivity methods, but to make the work around their business feel calmer and more manageable.
Alongside this work, archaeology and heritage have always been an important part of my life.
After more than a decade in the corporate world, I made a decision that surprised quite a few people: I went back to university at 34 to study archaeology. It was the best decision I have ever made.
That experience deepened my understanding of how this field operates. Research, documentation, academic communication, project coordination, funding applications — all of it requires an enormous amount of attention and care. The intellectual work is demanding, but the practical workload surrounding it can be just as heavy.
Because of my background in both worlds, I understand the working environment of the heritage sector while also bringing the organisational experience gained during my earlier career. That combination allows me to support archaeologists, researchers, and heritage professionals in ways that are practical and genuinely useful to their day-to-day work.
Across both areas, my role is simple: helping people stay organised, keep communication clear, and make sure important details don’t fall through the cracks.
When the background work is handled well, people have the space to focus on the work that truly needs their expertise.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me reading archaeology journals, exploring historic sites, or planning my next trip somewhere with a long and complicated past.
