Work in archaeology and heritage is rarely straightforward. It involves layers of responsibility across different subfields, often running at the same time.

Whether you’re in academia, consultancy, or the museum sector, there is constant coordination behind the scenes, from answering emails to teaching responsibilities. Having someone at your back who understands both the business side of things and the archaeology field itself can make a real difference.

I help keep everything structured and manageable, so the work itself doesn’t get buried under logistics.

If the support you need is not here, don’t hesitate to contact me. This is a list of the main tasks I provide (and most requested by clients), but it is not an exhaustive list, so I might still be able to support you.

Project & Research Support

  • Document proofreading support

Data & Collections Management

  • Database entry and management
  • Digitisation of archival materials
  • Organising digital archives and files
  • Collections administration support
  • Membership management (societies/organisations)
  • Volunteer coordination admin

General Admin Support

  • Inbox management: read, organise, and write your emails (if you want)
  • Calendar organisation: enter fixed appointments and events, and extract scheduling needs. This does not include full day/week planning!
  • Task extraction and briefing: pulling action items from emails and summarise them
  • Customer support: support via email, social media, and WhatsApp
  • Data entry and file management: handle data entry and organise your digital files and folders
  • Social media moderation: monitoring comments and messages, responding where appropriate, and flagging anything that needs your attention

Reminder: I do not provide phone support!

Rates

£30/h

Standard

Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

This is the normal rate for work agreed upon and completed during regular office hours.

£35/h

Evening

Monday-Friday, 5 PM – 9 PM

Reserved for time-sensitive tasks that require support outside the standard business hours.

£40/h

Weekend

Saturday – Sunday, 10 AM – 3 PM

Reserved for urgent projects and deadlines that cannot wait until the next business week.

IMPORTANT: all evening and weekend hours are subject to availability and not intended for ongoing work.

Additional Hours

If you need any additional hours beyond the agreed upon weekly or monthly support outlined in your contract, I do provide the following two options:

  • £35/h for any requested additional hours with at least 3 working days’ notice
  • £40/h for any requested additional hours with 24 hours notice or less.

IMPORTANT: all additional hours are subject to availability.

Project-based Work

Work in this field is often project-based, so if you only need help with specific projects, let me know what you need and I will happily see how I can help.
